Robin Klar Lent
Robin Klar Lent, a Memorial Northwest homeowner, has already shown her determination to fight for individual civil rights. She successfully lobbied the State of Texas to rewrite the Texas Open Records Act forbidding a government entity from holding a requester liable for the Attorney General's decision.
Additionally, she successfully lobbied to mandate teacher in-service instruction and teaching in History and English of Civil Rights and of the Holocaust. Robin has worked with the Anti-Defamation League in Harris County school districts to identify and relieve racial/religious tensions and has acted as liaison between parents and school administrators concerning special education.
Recently, Robin and her husband are taking what their attorney David Kahne calls an uncommon approach in fighting back with their Homeowner Association by filing a counter lawsuit that potentially can affect every homeowner in Texas.
Another of Robin's exceptional abilities resulted in her representing the USA in World Bridge Championships where she won both gold and bronze awards.
